Chelpa Ferro (the name loosely translates as Old Money) was founded 10 years ago by Jorge Barrao, Luiz Zerbini and Sergio Mekler. The trio sample street sounds and devise means of reproducing them in the gallery. For their first British commission they re-orchestrate the ambient noise of Liverpool as a symphony of polythene bags.
