During the 'My Body' section of FACT's Human Futures programme Al & Al exhibited their spectacular computer-generated videos which radically re-appropriated contemporary pop culture through an inventive use of celebrity icons, live action performance and animation special effects. The exhibition featured a new, large-scale commission developed through the artists’ residency at the historically charged Edge Hill railway station, which will be shown alongside two existing works originally made for television. Al & Al is the first book to contextualise, the psycho-sexual and social consequences of technology explored in their work, and position their radical practice within a critical and art historical context.
